65th Genoa International Boat Show
The 65th Genoa International Boat Show, the most important nautical exhibition on the international calendar, is on in Genoa from 18 to 23 September 2025
From 18 to 23 September 2025, the 65th edition of the Genoa International Boat Show will be held in Genoa, in Piazzale John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the area formerly known as the Fiera del Mare, inside the new Levante Waterfront.
A celebration for Genoa. A not-to-be-missed event for the international boating market. An opportunity to get to know the truest and oldest aspects of the city of Christopher Columbus, the world’s most famous seafarer: its position as the seafaring and navigation capital.
The 65th Genoa International Boat Show
‘We are made of sea‘ is the slogan for the 65th Genoa International Boat Show. This edition should not be missed by enthusiasts (more than a thousand boats, including luxury yachts, sailing boats and dinghies), or by those who love the sea from a natural, sporting, and cultural point of view. It also focusses on the environment and sustainability, with the fourth edition of the World Yachting Sustainability Forum, dealing with sustainability in the yachting industry, scheduled for Friday 19 September at 11 am.
The Genoa Boat Show
Launched in 1962, the Genoa International Boat Show has been part of the city’s evolution: while the first show covered 30 thousand square metres with 430 exhibitors, today the exhibition area is over 200 thousand square metres on land and water. This trade fair area recently underwent restyling designed by a star architect of the calibre of Renzo Piano.
A nautical showcase beyond compare – the most important exhibition on the international calendar in the pavilions and along the wharves of the marinas set up to exhibit large and small boats, sailing and motor boats, dinghies and canoes, accessories, equipment and on-board instruments. There is no shortage of mega yachts: the queens of the sea whose luxury and design bring the spectacular to the show. There are great expectations for this year’s edition: technology, electronics, and ecology.
The City Boat Show
Genoa is a true landmark for those who love the sea, but for the city the week will be all about its Boat Show with a programme of side events, including shows, exhibitions and meetings. An excellent opportunity to get to know Genoa and its history, an ancient city looking to the future.
Like the special edition of Rolli Days: on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September, there will be guided tours (with prior booking) inside the UNESCO World Heritage Palazzi dei Rolli, curated by specially trained cultural professionals. A special edition, dedicated to the Republic’s ‘Lords of the Sea’ in the period dubbed the ‘Century of the Genoese’, when the city’s aristocratic families were the richest in Europe. On Saturday 20 September, in Via Garibaldi, the ‘Via Aurea’, an extraordinary evening opening of several Palazzi dei Rolli: from 6.30 p.m. to 10 p.m., there will be guided tours by scientific experts, for which no booking is required. Also not to be missed are Tre Secoli di ‘800 – Un viaggio nella Letteratura (Three Centuries of the 19th Century – A Literary Journey), an exhibition offering a four-stage itinerary based on the image of an ideal cruise linking Genoa, Sardinia, Naples and Palermo. Art and beauty again with the Staglieno Days, extraordinary opening hours at the Monumental Cemetery of Staglieno, in Genoa, on 27 and 28 September, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with an exhibition of Giulio Romano’s ‘Stoning of Saint Stephan‘ in the Museo dell’Accademia from 20 September to 17 January 2026, a work preserved at the Abbey of Santo Stefano in Genoa, together with other rare masterpieces related to the altarpiece from the Louvre Museum and the Windsor Royal Trust Collections.
