Ut pictura poesis – As in painting, so in poetry
8 August – 8 October, Lerici Castle
An exhibition curated by Lucilla Del Santo of great significance that stems from the desire to ‘celebrate’ an important birthday in the Gulf of Poets: the ‘second 40 years’ of Giuseppe Conte, a poetic icon of the second half of the 20th century, a master of all subsequent generations. The exhibition celebrates a decade-long collaboration with Domenico Paladino, one of the greatest contemporary Italian artists, the main representative of the transavantgarde, in Achille Bonito Oliva’s theorisation, and one of the best known in the world.
Mimmo Paladino’s constant confrontation with the great works of literature and his encounter with ‘the words’ of Giuseppe Conte has, over the years, resulted in immortal works, some of which are on display at the Lerici Castle.
