58th edition of the Premio Paganini

Many talents from all over the world will compete in the 58th edition of Premio Paganini, in Genoa 14 – 26 October 2025

Only one will remain. Many young musicians, talents coming from more than 30 countries around the world will compete for one of the most coveted prizes on the international scene: Premio Paganini.

What is Premio Paganini?

Established in 1954, the International Violin Competition ‘Premio Paganini’ is an international violin competition that has been highly prestigious in Genoa for years and has discovered new young talents worldwide. It is dedicated to Niccolò Paganini, violinist, violist, guitarist and composer from Genoa, one of the most important representatives of romantic music.

Scheduled competitions

The competition schedule will be demandingin addition to Bach and Paganini’s caprices, the competitors will have to perform pieces chosen by the jury. An international jury of excellence to be appointed shortly will evaluate the performances. The finals can be seen free of charge at the Carlo Felice Theatre in Genoa.

The prizes

The winner will receive a cash prize and a series of concert performances, as many as 70 dates throughout Italy, from La Scala in Milan to the most important Italian music festivals. Five special prizes were awarded by the Mario Ruminelli Cultural Association, the Costa family, the Friends of Paganini Association, the De Barbieri Association and the Pallavicino Foundation.
