Accessible Bay of the Sun
Lead municipality: Alassio
The project is led by the Municipality of Alassio, with project partners Albenga, Laigueglia, Garlenda, Villanova d'Albenga, and UILDM - Italian Union for the Fight against Muscular Dystrophy (Albenga Section).
The Accessible Bay of the Sun project involves the following local planning, in order to implement accessible services and experiences:
- Increasing of the accessibility of tourist services;
- activation of training courses for tourism sector operators and tourist information office staff, such as workshops, specialist meetings, and entertainment programs;
- Activation of targeted internships.
Services and activities
Planned activities include the production of specific services, such as assistance, physiotherapy, and accompaniment at sea.
Targeted communication activities will also be planned, as for example the creation of accessible websites and the adaptation of tourism content to WCAG 2.1 requirements, in order to describe the provided services.
