Welcome, Reality, Inclusion, Accessibility

The project is led by the Municipality of Levanto, with project partners Bonassola, Carrodano, Borghetto di Vara, Brugnato, Amici di Cesare, and Gisal.
From the sea to the river, a journey to be discovered together, in order to implement accessible services and experiences.
The A.R.I.A. Accoglienza, Realtà, Inclusione, Accessibilità project – which stands for Welcome, Reality, Inclusion, Accessibility involves the following local planning:
- Implementation of a pedestrian and trail network;
- Implementation of seaside and river accessibility;
- Implementation of bicycle and pedestrian accessibility;
- Internships within tourism services;
- Training courses for tourism and hospitality professionals;
- Participation in three annual events.
Services and activities
Planned activities include accessible trekking experiences; a river trip service on adapted boats; and targeted tourist packages aimed to enhance inclusive tourism.
The project also intends to implement targeted communication activities, such as the creation of:
- A dedicated web page on the websites of the Municipalities that participate into the project;
- Simplified brochures in Braille and audible;
- Videos produced in Italian Sign Language (LIS);
- Guidelines for inclusive services;
- Dedicated media and social media campaigns.
