Liguria, named European Region of Sport 2025, follows the path initiated by Genoa as the European Capital of Sport 2024, Tigullio, and Paradise Gulf as the European Community of Sport 2023, and Recco as the European City of Sport 2022.

Sport is for everyone, and from 2025, sporting activities will become more accessible to everyone - of all ages, lifelong enthusiasts, or simply the curious. For those who have never engaged in sport or wish to do it again, 2025 offers opportunities for gentle movement, guided programmes, nature walks, and playful activities for the little ones.

Liguria is a real "open-air gym" where sport can be practiced all year round.
