The event opens the doors of its most beautiful palaces of the ancient aristocratic families of Genoa and is dedicated to their relationship with the sea. From the 13th to the 15th of October.

The Rolli Days is an event in which Genoa celebrates its palaces, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2oo6. This year, it will be held from the 13th to the 15th of October and will be dedicated to ‘Sfogliare la storia’ in anticipation of the ‘Capitale Italiana del Libro 2023’ (Italian book capital 2023) an event where a city in Italy, every year, is chosen to hold events devoted to literature.

There will be scheduled visits, events and special bookings in the homes of where the most important aristocratic families of Genoa were enriched in wealth and artistic treasures during the ‘golden age’ of Genoa in 1528; the year Andrea Doria started rebuilding the foundations of the city.

The system was founded to accommodate the nobles, diplomats and sovereigns, making Genoa one of the most admired and famous artistic European capital cities in the world.

The event will open more than 30 palaces based in the historic centre of Genoa, within the UNESCO site of ‘Le strade Nuove’ and the Rolli Palaces.

The surburban villas of Ponente: the districts of Sampierdarena, Cornigliano, Pegli and Voltri will also see their most beautiful residences welcome thousands of visitors.
