Giro d’Italia 2024: 2 Stages in Liguria

At the 107th Giro d’Italia 2024, there will be both a stage finish and a stage start in Liguria: on May 7th and 8th, 2024.

A sea of discoveries, an exciting coastline, and an inland with many medieval villages to visit: Liguria is a paradise for cycling enthusiasts. The Giro d’Italia has noticed it too, and for the 10th time, it comes to visit. There will be two stages: Acqui Terme-Andora on May 7th and Genova-Lucca on May 8th, respectively the 4th and the 5th stage after the start from Venaria Reale in Turin. It won’t be clear yet who will win, but Liguria usually always challenges for the pink jersey.

In the key locations of the Ligurian municipalities involved in the passage of the riders, there will be “Liguria in pink”: a series of events with the distribution of flags and banners in the main towns touched by the cyclists’ passage. There is also great anticipation for the Giro E-bike stage from Savona to Andora.

Acqui Terme-Andora: May 7th

A stage of 190km between Piedmont and Liguria, from the mountains to the sea: from the thousand metres of the Colle del Melogno (with about 100km left to the finish line, descent to Savona through the Cadibona pass and then on the Aurelia road, like at the Milano – Sanremo, with the last climb at Capo Mele (1.5 km at 5.1%), to the probable sprint on the sunny seafront of Andora.
