Portofino Days

The first edition of Portofino Days, the International Fiction Festival, will take place from March 22nd to 24th, 2024. There will be plenty of cinema, exhibitions, masterclasses, and a long itinerary spanning across Rapallo, Santa Margherita, Genoa, and the village of glamour

Portofino Days: A Mini Hollywood?

Memories drift back to the golden years of Dolce Vita cinema, when Ava Gardner, Humphrey Bogart, Liz Taylor, and John Wayne strolled through the Piazzetta, while the “Dolce Vita” turned Portofino into a Hollywood annex. Referencing that atmosphere, from March 22nd to 24th, the first edition of Portofino Days, the International Fiction Festival, arrives. This event will involve other areas of Tigullio, such as Santa Margherita and Rapallo, as well as Genoa, where an exhibition will be set up. Over the three days, there will be meetings, professional masterclasses, Casting Day, screenings, a major international preview, awards ceremonies, prominent figures from Italian cinema and beyond, and training sessions that bring together all the Italian Film Commissions. Thus, Liguria is preparing for three days to become the “capital” of great cinema: a moment of reflection on the state of the art of the audiovisual world and its trajectories, from which to draw new insights for the industry and its future.
