A trail for everyone with CAI
We highlight the initiatives dedicated to disability with the project “A Trail for Everyone,” in which the CAI of La Spezia, in collaboration with the Cinque Terre National Park, has identified four trails, all starting from Colle del Telegrafo, that are entirely accessible to people with disabilities.
The project aims to bring people with disabilities, both physical and mental, onto the trails using a special one-wheeled wheelchair called a Joelette. This will be provided by the CAI section of La Spezia, along with the establishment of welcome points for people with disabilities near the trails.
The identified trails are as follows:
– Colle del Telegrafo – Campiglia Starting from Colle del Telegrafo, you initially transit on the AV5T, passing through Sant’ Antonio and continuing along the AV5T. Just past station 14 of the outdoor gym, you take the short connecting path to the dirt road and continue on the white road until you reach Campiglia. The return can be made using the dirt road.
– Colle del Telegrafo – Monte Santa Croce Follow the paved road towards Bramapane; upon reaching the Bramapane junction, pass through the split and continue on the white road until you reach La Croce saddle.
– Colle del Telegrafo – Santuario Madonna di Montenero Follow trail 530, which starts at Colle del Telegrafo, until you reach the hairpin bend at an altitude of 350 meters. From here, the trail begins, with no significant elevation changes, leading to the Sanctuary. Return via the same route.
– Colle del Telegrafo – Volastra The Via dei Santuari from Colle del Telegrafo to Volastra.
All the information can be found on the National Park’s website in the section dedicated to trails and outdoor activities.
