European Fencing Championships 2025

From 14th to 19th June 2025 Genoa will host the European Fencing Championships, the most prestigious continental tournament in this discipline; and it will become the Capital of European Fencing.

The event

450 of the best fencers from all over Europe will battle it out for 6 days proving their skill, agility, and strategy on the 25 platforms set up in the splendid setting of the new Waterfront di Levante in Genoa: the Jean Nouvel Pavilion. The 2025 European Fencing Championships will be a fundamental opportunity to shine a spotlight on this sport among the youngest, and to keep alive one of Italy’s historic tradition.

A unique experience

It will be a celebration of also cultural and sportdiversity because, in addition to the competitions, a series of related events will be organized: competitions, workshops and activities to involve both enthusiasts and the curious of all ages. Genoa will become the center of a cultural effervescence, where the art of fencing will merge with the beauty of the city  and with important themes such as inclusion and emancipation.
