Genoa International Boat Show: 64th Edition
The 64th Genoa International Boat Show, the most important nautical event on the international calendar, will take place in Genoa from September 19 to 24, 2024.
The 64th edition of the Genoa International Boat Show will take place at John Fitzgerald Kennedy square, in the area of the former Fiera del Mare, within the new Waterfront di Levante.
A celebration for Genoa. An unmissable event for the international nautical market. An opportunity to discover the city of Christopher Columbus, the most famous seafarer in the world, in its truest and most ancient form: that of the capital of the sea and navigation.
Il Salone Nautico di Genova
Founded in 1962, the Genoa International Boat Show has witnessed the evolution of the exhibition district and the city itself. While the first show covered 30,000 square metres with 430 exhibitors, today’s exhibition area spans over 200,000 square metres between land and water. The 63rd edition featured over 1,000 boats, 1,043 brands on display, and attracted 118,269 visitors. It is an unparalleled showcase of the nautical world, the most significant event on the international calendar, with exhibits across pavilions and along the marina docks, displaying a wide range of boats—large and small, sail and motor, inflatable boats and canoes—as well as accessories, equipment, and onboard instruments. The mega yachts are also a highlight: the queens of the sea that, with their luxury and design, create a spectacle within the spectacle.
There is great anticipation for the innovations coming to this year’s edition: technology, electronics, and ecology. The city has responded with a series of events, making Genoa a true hub for sea lovers during the Boat Show.
The 64th Edition
The slogan for the 64th edition in 2024 will be: “We are made of sea.” There could be no better definition for a city and an event that make the sea their most important citizen. The Boat Show will represent innovation, featuring the Design Innovation Award, a prize established by Confindustria Nautica and I Saloni Nautici in 2020. It is also a showcase of the most advanced technologies in boating, yachting, and a forum for dialogue between designers and manufacturers. The city will experience a week immersed in the Boat Show, with the Fuori Salone, a programme of side events including performances, exhibitions, and meetings. It’s an excellent opportunity to discover Genoa and its history—a city rooted in antiquity yet projecting into the future.
