OrgOlio Liguria Weekend
OrgOlio Liguria Weekend: olive groves and mills open across all of Liguria from 7 to 8 December 2024.
A whole weekend to explore olive groves, mills, and the work of olive-producing businesses up close: this is the “OrgOlio Liguria Weekend.”
For the first time in this format, the world of Riviera Ligure DOP extra virgin olive oil is being showcased to the general public through a region-wide event. Thanks to the collaboration between the Agenzia In Liguria and the Consorzio di Tutela dell’Olio Riviera Ligure DOP, 23 olive-producing businesses will open their doors during the long Immaculate Conception weekend. The goal is to promote the culture and use of the “new” olive oil.
The Wonder of New Olive Oil
The participating businesses will welcome visitors to share the marvels of their craft, a product of long-standing tradition. Guests can discover the unique flavours of their oils and learn about the secrets behind the various olive cultivars that produce Liguria’s “liquid gold.” This is a unique opportunity to combine an on-site visit with the chance to purchase fresh olive oil—perfect as a Christmas gift or, why not, a precious taste of Liguria to enjoy at home.
