The 2024 show
In Sarzana, the Fortezza Firmafede, a masterpiece of Florentine Renaissance architecture, hosts exhibitors from all over Italy with timeless objects: furniture, paintings, decorative accessories, antique rugs, ceramics, art glass, and works by world-renowned designers. The exhibition will feature a route through the two floors of the “cellette” leading to the ramparts and continuing to the “Fiorella Carelli Carozzi” Pavilion, located in the Sala del Magnifico, renamed in memory of the unforgettable Sarzanese antiquarian. In collaboration with two prestigious cultural institutions in La Spezia, the Amedeo Lia Museum and the Diocesan Museum, thematic meetings will be organised. The exhibition will be open from August 9 to 18, from 6:00 PM to midnight.
The event
Founded in 1978, the National Antiques Exhibition of the City of Sarzana is a cornerstone in the field of antique trade, allowing everyone—beginners, experts, and curious visitors alike—to approach, touch, and view works of all forms of art, often of unique but universal genius, and accessible to all. Organised by the Sarzanese Antiquarians Association, with Elisabetta Sacconi as curator, it boasts the patronage and support of the Municipality of Sarzana and the partnership of Confcommercio La Spezia, in agreement with the Ligurian Regional Museum Directorate.
