Trail del marchesato: The sport event in Finale Ligure
1st and 2nd March 2025: Running and Walking Along the Ermano Fossati Trail in Finalborgo
Trails that wind through cliffs, caves, and breathtaking sea views. A journey through a land rich in history and a glorious past. The Trail del Marchesato takes place just steps from the coast, culminating in Finale Ligure – Liguria’s outdoor capital and a true open-air gym.
La Sportiva Trail Del Marchesato, the competitive trail running event, scheduled for 2nd of March in Finalborgo, follows the Ermano Fossati Trail. Participants can choose from three technical routes:
- 60 km with 3000m elevation gain (most challenging)
- 38 km with 2200m elevation gain
- 16 km with 1000m elevation gain
The area is renowned as one of Italy’s most beautiful and famous destinations for extreme outdoor sports.
The more spiritual participants can join yoga classes, while those less inclined towards intense sports can enjoy the Walking del Marchesato – a group walk led by an expert guide from the Firpo gym. This leisurely activity explores some of the most characteristic spots along the Trail del Marchesato, with two routes available: 4 km and 8 km.
