Volleyball: 25th Befana Tournament
The 25th Edition of the Befana Tournament Brings Top-Level Volleyball Back to Liguria from 2nd to the 5th of January 2025
The 25th edition of the Befana Tournament will take place from 2nd to 5th of January across Alassio, Finale Ligure, and Imperia. It marks the first major sporting event of the new year in Liguria, the European Region of Sport 2025.
The Befana Tournament
For 25 years, this event, organised by Alassio Volley, has brought volleyball talents, athletes, supporters, families, and clubs to Liguria. This year, the tournament has taken a significant leap forward, with numerous match venues in Alassio, Finale Ligure, and Diano Marina, over two thousand participants, and initiatives focused on solidarity and ecological sustainability. Special guest Paola Cardullo, considered one of the best “liberos” in the world, will grace the event.
The 25th Edition
Scheduled from Thursday, 2nd January, to Sunday, 5th January, the tournament will feature 98 teams divided into five categories. The first matches, dedicated to the Under 12 and Under 13 categories, will take place on Thursday, 2nd January, and Friday, 3rd January. From 3rd to 5th January, it will be the turn of the Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18 categories.
The finals for first place will all be held at the Palaravizza in Alassio:
- Friday, 3rd January, at 17:30: Under 12 and Under 13 (simultaneously)
- Sunday, 5th January, at 12:00: Under 14
- Sunday, 5th January, at 15:30: Under 16
- Sunday, 5th January, at 17:00: Under 18
