On the trail of the Tonnarella in Camogli.
Don’t miss the unique opportunity to discover the historical places associated with the Tonnarella. You’ll board a private boat where we’ll recreate the Tonnarella system using images and models. You’ll have a unique chance to learn about the techniques and practices of this traditional fishing.The aim of our Cooperative Ziguele is to support tradition and promote an ecological and sustainable fish system. The trip will start very early in the morning- when the fishermen start their day of work – we will continue to Porto Pidocchio, one of the most charming gulfs within the Marine Protected Area of Portofino. Finally, we’ll arrive at S.Fruttuoso, where we’ll visit the ancient site where the nets are prepared .You can even take a refreshing dive in the crystal clear waters to observe the famous submerged statue of Christ of the Abyss .
The tour ends in Camogli where we will assist to the fishermen pulling their fishing nets.
A Biologist will accompany you to comment the different fishing stages.

Departure: camogli 8:45 a.m
when: Always – Monday, 10th of April , plus every Tuesday and Friday from July till end of August.
Other days – on request for groups of at least 8 people.
