The dense network of trails in the Deiva area, running along the coast towards the neighbouring Municipalities or along the ridge towards the hinterland of the valley, develops along paths that often retrace the connecting paths of the historic road system, such as the ancient cobblestone mule tracks (creuze), offering evocative and panoramic views of the lush Mediterranean vegetation and the sandstone cliffs overhanging the blue sea, or of paths halfway up the hillside among terraced belts of olive groves and age-old chestnut trees with the small, multicoloured clusters of villages.
In particular, the coastal routes towards the Municipalities of Framura and Moneglia or towards the Ligurian hinterland following the historical routes of the Bracco Pass of the Via del Sale and the Via Francigena, near the ancient crossroads located over the ridge of Monte San Nicolao on the Bracco Pass
Every year, in September, a popular running competition is organised: ‘Marcia dei Sentieri Azzurri’
