Easy and challenging, lasting one hour and a half or a full day. Whether on foot or by mountain bike, the Antola Park is a paradise for active holidaymakers. From the roads at the bottom of the valley, the terrain looks arduous. Actually, above the winding valleys, covered with intricate forests, lie long grassy ridges where you can enjoy pleasant walks during the flowering season, such as that of Pian della Cavalla linked to the narcissus.

In spring, between April and June, don't miss the fascinating flowering of the daffodils at Pian della Cavalla.

Between history and nature

The valleys have been frequented by man since the earliest times, criss crossed by a dense network of mule tracks and paths, along which one encounters fountains, chapels, barns and stone huts, beautiful villages such as Pentema and Valbrevenna, and charming little churches such as San Fermo. Moreover, the legendary routes such as the ghost town of Reneuzzi, or the story of Hannibal passing through the Trebbia Valley or the sacred mountain of Monte Alfeo.

The village of Senarega is built around the massive Senarega-Fieschi Castle, with its square tower and adjoining palace.

Valbrevenna, timeless landscapes

It is a journey down memory lane, through the rural culture and architecture of the Valbrevenna. In the heart of the valley lies the intact medieval village of Senarega, with its narrow houses and the ruins of the castle at the top of the village. Here, you can visit the museum where the rural life of past centuries has been reconstructed. The village is now almost abandoned and is a starting point for many excursions.

At the former rectory of the parish of Rondanina, you'll find the Visitor Center dedicated to the Wolf, a predator whose presence is well known and studied.

Trebbia: on the banks of the Brugneto lake

Unspoilt nature around the Brugneto reservoir. Here you can reflect in the clear waters of the artificial lake, the primary source of water for Genoa. You can walk along its 260 metres long and 80 metres high dam forming the lake. The route is marked with yellow markers and on the promontory there is a picturesque fishermen's hut from which you can enjoy a magnificent view of the lake.
