The heart of Pietra

Pietra Ligure is known for its historic centre, split into Borgo Nuovo and Borgo Vecchio. The first is from the Renaissance period, whilst the second is medieval, with typical narrow “caruggi” (alleyways), arched buttresses, cobbled streets and the plays of sun and shade between the roofs.

The port of Loano is protected by a long pier, including two large docks divided by a wide ''L''-shaped pier

Loano, the village and its port

In the village of Loano, you can set out on a discovery of various fountains, created thanks to the Loano Fontane d’Arte project that has brought art to locations for strolling and meeting. Loano is also known for having a modern and fullyequipped marina for a nautical season lasting all year round.

Among the desserts, don't miss the Sorrisi di Loano, a combination of hazelnuts and white chocolate dipped in dark chocolate and covered with pralined hazelnut grains.

Tasty celebrations

Unmissable events to delight the palate of those with a sweet tooth include Dolcissima Pietra in September, where you can taste and buy sweet delights, wines, liqueurs and other delicacies. Then in August, the Sagra del Nostralino is celebrated in Ranzi, a small village surrounded by greenery, located a few kilometres from Pietra, hosting a festival where you can taste traditional dishes and savour a nice glass of wine.

In 2021, for the twelfth consecutive time, Loano's beaches and sea were awarded the Blue Flag!

Romantic strolls

For the more romantic, long strolls by the sea under the palm trees during sunset ensure a unique atmosphere. Not to be missed is an aperitif and dinner in the restaurants and bars located along the beaches, so as to dine with your feet in the water!
