It is one of the most famous tourist resorts on the Riviera and the name "City of Flowers" comes from its central location in the production of plants and essences. The elegant centre is worth a stroll to discover the beauty of the Cathedral of San Siro and the uniqueness of the Russian church which was named in honour of Tsarina Maria Alexandrovna and the Civic Museum.

The music capital

Walking along Via Matteotti, you will find yourself in front of the most famous theatre in Italy, the Ariston. This is the most coveted stage for singers, which at the beginning of February each year hosts the Italian Song Festival.

In the 1930s, it was home to the Literary Mondays, attended by figures such as Luigi Pirandello.

The Casino

A few steps from the Ariston Theatre, you will have the opportunity to visit the first venue of the Italian Song Festival, Sanremo Casino, a symbol of the Beautiful Age in Sanremo, as well as one of the greatest attractions in the city.

In Sanremo, cycling is the star, with one of the most famous races in Italy: the Milan-Sanremo, which takes place in one day and precedes the Giro d'Italia.

The cycle path

If you like the sea and you love to ride a bike, then you will definitely have to take the Ponente Liguria cycling path. This oasis suspended between green and blue is the longest in Europe and offers 24 km of breathtaking scenery on the ancient railway track.
