L30 World Championship

The L30 is a flexible sports boat, suitable for both racing and daily sailing or short trips. Designer Andrej Justin has transformed the ideas of a great sailor – Rodion Luka Ukrainian multiple medalist in several categories and founder of the renowned sailing school in Kiev Racing Yacht Club – into a project that the company OceanTec in Slovenia has translated into L30. It has a lifting keel, two rudder blades that can be easily removed, 9.58 meters long and 2.54 meters wide with a weight of only 1.8 tons. It is equipped with an electric motor, is easily transportable on a trailer,  and can also be slid on a suitable ramp. The crew is composed of 5 people. The boat tested in 2015 reached the speed record at 24.7 knots in rough sea conditions and fresh wind, but it is also perfect with light wind, as it can reach 2.8 knots of speed with 2 knots of wind.
