Deiva Valley Rissêu Ecomuseum
The Ecomuseum of the ‘Deiva Valley Rissêu’ consists of a 7-stage route created by the Primary School, which in 2012 was awarded the first prize by the F.A.I. for the best enhancement projects presented by schools.
The Ecomuseum identifies with signs the places where the ancient Ligurian art of ‘rissêu’ mosaic is still present
The well-known polychrome churchyard (year 1766) of St. Anthony’s Church built with sea and river pebbles, with a Wind Rose and large vases with a floral pattern towards the side ramps of the access stairs.
Also the asymmetrical churchyard of the Church of St. Anna di Piazza (year 1869) has a Wind Rose, framed by geometric figures, religious symbols and a Latin inscription at the entrance.
The dome of the Church of N.S. dell’Assunta is an unusual example of ‘rissêu’ bell tower decoration in Liguria, made of alternating segments
