In the Finalese, Outdoor Mecca in Liguria
The Finalese region is the outdoor mecca also for docking and beaches.
Port of Capo San Donato is located northeast of Finale Ligure and consists of a long overwater quay inside and an underwater quay. Starting from Finale Ligure, be sure to visit to Finalborgo, an ancient village that has retained its medieval origin. The Finalese offers trails suitable for all mountain biking levels and is one of the international paradises for climbing sports: we are in the outdoor Mecca of Liguria.
Make sure to visit the historic centre of Verezzi, located just behind the seaside town of Pietra Ligure; Verezzi is one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, perched on a hill, with a splendid maze of “caruggi” and “creuze” with cobblestone and stone houses close to each other. The caves of Borgio Verezzi offer a tourist path that continues for about 800 metres.
The port of Loano is protected by a long breakwater. Inside, there are two large basins divided by a wide “L” shaped quay. The quays of the structure have been used for the mooring of pleasure boats. Loano was an imperial fief of the Doria of Genoa and preserves a historic centre of considerable monumental interest, one of the best-preserved in Liguria.
