Arenzano has been a tourist destination since the dawn of tourism. All over the territory you can admire elegant palaces and villas

A walk in the park

A few metres from the beaches and the historic centre of Arenzano, Villa Negrotto Cambiaso is a green oasis welcoming you to immerse yourself in nature. Here you can also have strange encounters with peacocks that roam free and inhabit the park all year round.

The Arenzano friary was founded by the Discalced Carmelites of Genoa, present in Liguria since 1584. After the Napoleonic suppressions and those of the Italian state, plans for new foundations emerged and, in 1888, a house for the education of young people was planned. Fr. Leopoldo M. di S. Giuseppe (Beccaro) was entrusted with the task and identified Arenzano as the place for the foundation, dedicated to St. Teresa of Jesus.

A direct link to Prague

On the highland to the rear of the historic centre, you will find the highly important Child of Prague Sanctuary, which is now a pilgrimage site. Discover the incredible history of the sanctuary and find yourself enchanted by this profound link between Liguria and the Czech Republic.

Someone in Cogoleto thinks that the town is the birthplace of the navigator and explorer Christopher Columbus. His presumed home is in via Rati.

Cycle and pedestrian

path with sea viewIt is one of the most beautiful paths in Liguria: it starts in Arenzano and reaches Varazze, passing through Cogoleto. An easy path running along the sea. It’s beautiful even on foot, maybe with your sundress and bathing suit on. Don’t miss the stretch through the Piani d'Invrea Coastal Park, surrounded by Mediterranean maquis.
