Food and Agriculture Fair: Record Numbers
Exhibitors, side events, themed areas, and a beautiful medieval village: that of Finalborgo. The Ligurian Food and Agriculture Fair awaits you from Monday, 10 March, to Sunday, 16 March, offering gourmets, curious visitors, and tourists the chance to enjoy a weekend just steps from the sea. Open from 3 PM to 8 PM on Friday and from 10 AM to 8 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The event represents a unique opportunity to discover the best agro-food productions of this Ligurian land, rich in history and nature.
The exhibition spaces
A wide area of exhibition spaces where Ligurian companies can present their products characterised by high levels of quality and uniqueness. The venue for the Ligurian Food and Agriculture Fair is the prestigious Monumental Complex of Santa Caterina, along with several squares in the historic centre of Finalborgo, awarded the title of ‘Most Beautiful Village in Italy‘ in 2008.
Among the hundreds of products on display, we can mention: oil, wine with protected designation of origin from Liguria, jams, jellies, classic focaccia, honey, violet asparagus from Albenga, liqueurs, beer, marmalades, milk and dairy products, and truffles from Millesimo. Additionally, there are Vessalico garlic, salted anchovies, and Pigna beans. And then there are typical sweets like genovese pandolce, Finale chifferi, chestnut cakes, Alassio kisses, Sassello amaretti, candied fruit, chocolate, and stroscia cake.
Food and Agriculture Fair: Cultural and Educational Initiatives
A packed schedule of educational meetings, tasting courses, workshops, seminars, and conferences will be available, along with cooking classes and floral arrangement courses. There will also be courses on preparing pesto and other Ligurian sauces, as well as demonstrations on producing a variety of traditional Ligurian products. The Vision Plaza area will focus on innovation and sustainability in the agro-food sector. Casa Liguria will feature the participation of Assaggia La Liguria, the Consortium for the Protection of Basilico Genovese DOP, the Consortium for the Protection of Olio DOP Riviera Ligure, and the Regional Enoteca of Liguria.
